Frequently asked questions
Can my final contribution be different?
Yes. You choose a base within the permitted band, and Social Security later adjusts the amount using your final income.
What if I am a company-linked self-employed worker?
Special minimum bases may apply. The calculator includes the relevant general floor, but your particular circumstances should be reviewed.
Does it include the flat-rate contribution?
No. The €80 amount was set on a transitional basis through 2025. If you are newly registered, the calculator reminds you to check the reduced contribution currently in force.
